Security Guard (Santa Fe) (Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz)

Security Guard Reports to: Security Supervisor & Facilities Manager Department: Facilities Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment on the Opera campus.
- Monitor the campus security phone, entry gate operation and access control.
- Conduct hourly patrols of the Opera grounds and facilities.
- Lead all aspects of communications and notifications in response to alarm systems.
- Maintain vigilance to surroundings and respond to any issue on campus in a timely manner, notifying appropriate supervisors of incidents.
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property.
- Be proactive and have an eye for detail.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Employment Standards & Requirements Knowledge
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum one‑year prior experience in a security role.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with others.
- Ability to prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate log reports of daily activities. Skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Understanding, explaining, interpreting, and applying rules, directives, and procedures.
- Familiarity with use of radio and mobile communication devices.
- Ability to access and operate company vehicles. Hours & Restrictions
- Up to 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.
- Availability to work any shift; flexibility may be required due to scheduled events and early arrival.
- Ability to work up to 12 hours per shift on occasion.
- Ability to accommodate occasional on‑call shifts. Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of spending a significant amount of time on feet, walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check and have a clear MVD record. Licenses & Uniform
- Valid driver’s license.
