The Senior Visual/UI Designer ( Americas ) is a visual designer with a high level of craft and competency in experience design , interaction design , brand experience, design systems, and AI powered design practices wor king across Valtech's Experience Design discipline in the Americas . TheSeniorVisual /UI Designer is a key position within the design process, and the design group. A sensitivity to brand, a grasp of narrative , and an understanding of systems, will all be considered as t hey collaborate with, and take input from , the creative brief, strategy, creative direct ors , and their fellow designers . Relentless attention to detail and a high level of craft is required to create compelling, brand appropriate design s and design systems , across a diversity of industries for some of the world's most discerning clients . Role responsibilities Createand execute highly polished visual design and concepts thatareconsistently on brand and directly connectto solving the client's business needs. This includes typography, composition, interface, logos,branding, components,etc. for various platforms, viewports,andotherwise. Craft and presenthigh fidelity design conceptsand directions as a necessary part of the designprocess. This includes activelyparticipatingin brainstorms, contributing ideas andinspiration,and solutions ofone'sown articulatedthroughreferences,sketchesstoryboards, moodboardsand conceptual designs. Keep one's own highstandardof design ,presentation,processes,andalltheways we work with each otherand engage with our clients. Stay currentand champion new AI practices ,recent design methodologies,trendsand techniques.Proactively search for and recommend new best practices. Bring to life designthrough working prototypes and motion, including the ability tothink about motion in interaction, create prototypes in Figma, and/or other AI tools. Createdesign systems, style guides, brand guides,otherartifacts todescribeand visualizethe intended user experience, as well as prepare assets for development. Collaborate with the team, includingUX designers, strategists,copywriter, creative directors,developersand other visual designers. Build and sustain effective working relationships internally and externally, and especially within the design group. Mentor othermore juniordesigners and play a role in helping build a dynamic design culture. What you should have 5+years proven agency or studio experience across a variety of industries,designing fordigital experiences. Excellenceindesigning brandand/or systematicdesignexperiences across multiple channels. Someone whohasnevertiredofpushing the work to be better. Fluencyin English , and able toverballycommunicate and present to North American team members and clients. Strongcommunicationandpresentation skills ,knowinghow to getthepoint across withpassionand enthusiasm andcangracefully defendgreat work.Cancommunicate complex ideas or conversations in a way that is easily understood by the team and the client, with little to no guidance. A strategic thinker ,ability totakeinthe strategic ambition of the project, as well as inputs from UX andnarrative, to arrive at a compelling and rounded design solution. A collaborative spiritand team player, who can take direction well, be additive to a group process, and help others strengthen their work.Expertly guidedmore junior designers ondesignprinciples and best practices. The ability to thriveunder pressure ,and workundertightdeadlines, juggling multiple projects anddeliverto dozens of stakeholders, without sacrificing quality. Strong ability to prioritize, focus their time andenergy on the right things throughout the design process.Someone whocanroll with it and has a solutions-based mindset Skilled in AItools andcurrent designpractices , up to dateinFigmaand Figma related AI tools,as well as image generators,should be core elements of your toolbox.
