Java Tech Lead with Python (Moreno)

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Java Tech Lead with Python for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing job sites. The project is a live production product that receives a high volume of support requests from clients, often related to malfunctioning or misconfigured features. The team plays a critical role in diagnosing, triaging, and resolving these issues, particularly with in-progress hiring events that are not functioning as expected. It involves debugging issues across systems, collaborating closely with the Client Support and GTM teams, and maintaining high client satisfaction, measured in part by user ratings.

Timezone Coverage: PST, MST, CST, EST (across all U.S. time zones).

Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong knowledge of Java/Spring Boot (event management backend, lobby backend).
- Advanced experience with Django/Python (event management backend, lobby backend).
- Knowledge of React (event management frontend lobby frontend, IRL frontend, jobseeker frontend).
- Knowledge of Kafka (event management backend).
- Experience with GraphQL (event management backend, lobby backend).
- Experience with SQL or MongoDB (event management backend, lobby backend).
- Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
- Understanding of building and deployment.
- The ability to ramp up quickly and assume ownership over multiple projects.
- High level of ownership and autonomy.
- An individual who can work independently and be autonomous.
- The ability to take initiative rather than just waiting for instructions, take ownership of tasks, specifically merging and deploying code, without requiring the \"hand-holding\" that occurred with previous teams.
- A high priority for the initial leads is the ability to lead, shepherd, and onboard a group of other engineers on the team's behalf.
