Senior Network Automation Engineer – US We are looking for a Senior Network Automation Engineer to serve as the automation engine for a large‐scale network consolidation program at a US‐based Tier‐2 Telco. The role focuses on building ingestion pipelines and the volume configuration generator, eliminating manual engineering labor by automating the extraction of legacy data and generating hundreds of site‐specific network configurations. This position is adecuado for professionals passionate about creating bullet‐proof Python pipelines and turning chaotic spreadsheets into automated, production‐ready deployments. Responsibilities Build an ingestion pipeline to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems, CMDBs, and network probes into a centralized staging database. Standardize and normalize data across multiple heterogeneous sources to ensure consistency and usability. Develop and maintain a configuration engine using Python and Ansible to manage network parameters (IPs, VLANs, hostnames). Integrate master database values into Jinja2 templates to generate standardized configuration outputs. Automate the generation of site‐specific configuration files to support deployment and cutover activities. Enable scalable configuration generation to support high‐volume rollout scenarios. Maintain and monitor Transition State Machine (TSM) data pipelines to ensure stability during design and deployment phases. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Network Automation, ETL development, and data engineering. Advanced proficiency in Python, Ansible, and SQL. Deep experience with templating languages, such as Jinja2, Mako, Cheetah, and Genshi, to automate configuration generation at scale. Strong ability to interact with REST APIs and parse unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) from legacy monitoring tools and databases. Familiarity with infrastructure data points (IP addresses, subnets, MAC addresses). The role focuses on accurate data parsing rather than network routing design.
