Principal DevOps Engineer (General Pacheco)

Position Overview We are looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud & Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of scalable, reliable cloud platforms while driving DevOps maturity across the organization. You will work closely with engineering leadership, SRE, and cross‑functional teams to improve operational excellence, deployment practices, and cloud governance. As a key technical leader, you will help establish best practices in cloud architecture, CI/CD, reliability engineering, and observability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform following best practices in networking, IAM, security, and automation.
- Assess current DevOps and operational maturity, identifying gaps and defining actionable improvement roadmaps.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment frequency, reduce lead time, and ensure safe, repeatable releases.
- Drive platform modernization through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitOps, and automation strategies.
- Establish cloud governance models including access control, environment separation, cost management, and production change policies.
