Job Description As an expert you will bring a deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. This expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non‑technical personnel, key support contractors, and operations personnel. How You Will Contribute
- Partner & enable line leaders to deliver SQCDSM targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Morale) for the lines, ensuring process stability; participate in DMS Daily Management System meetings at shift and line levels.
- Own the technology, process, and center‑line settings, maintain progressive maintenance systems, work processes, and KPIs for the line(s), manage R&M; budget.
- Develop, own, and execute line(s) preventive and time‑based maintenance plans, build team capability to execute themselves; spend at least 50 % of time developing technicians’ technical and maintenance skills.
- Partner with Asset and Reliability teams for system improvement, execute special maintenance tasks, change management, localization of spares, and break‑down analysis; represent department/line(s) as site technology owner in regional and general forums.
- Assist in VSU for new initiatives, enable the VSU team; benchmark internally and externally; serve as a subject‑matter expert and trainer on PM related subjects. What You Will Bring
- Advanced knowledge (including AM‑Autonomous Maintenance Step 4 systems & Progressive Maintenance Step 3) and skill to maintain dedicated equipment under basic conditions independently (execution of AM & PM standards, TPM Phase 3 & 4 tools, problem‑solving tools).
- Capability to lead a role for the line: qualify and coach next‑level SWP owners, drive opportunity areas across the line using PDCA.
- Capability to work as the line leader, develop goal/master plan, deploy and manage IDP for members, coach performance and career development. More About This Position The Utilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and efficiency of all production support services and facilities at the site. The role involves planning, coordinating, executing, and controlling preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for the systems under responsibility, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor leads the maintenance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, failure mode elimination, and rational use of resources. Maintenance Planning and Management
- Develop, implement, and update the Annual Maintenance Plan, including preventive, predictive, and corrective activities.
- Prepare and manage weekly and monthly work schedules, allocate human and material resources.
- Apply TPM to maximize equipment availability and OEE.
- Coordinate scheduled plant shutdowns, ensuring communication with production areas and minimizing operational impact.
- Manage technical history of critical equipment and use data‑analysis tools to anticipate failures. People Supervision and Leadership
- Distribute, coordinate, and supervise tasks of direct reports to ensure coverage across all shifts.
- Lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, guiding them toward achieving area objectives.
- Identify technical and safety training needs and coordinate ongoing development.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations, provide feedback and development plans.
- Manage absenteeism, rotations, and coverage to ensure operational continuity. Contractor and Vendor Management
- Plan, supervise, and validate work performed by contractor companies, verifying compliance with technical, safety, and contractual standards.
- Coordinate work permits and safety procedures for third‑party work within facilities.
- Participate in evaluation and qualification of specialized maintenance service providers. KPI Management and Reporting
- Define, monitor, and report KPIs for the area: equipment availability, MTTR, MTBF, maintenance cost per unit, energy consumption.
- Prepare monthly management reports for senior management, including deviation analysis and corrective action plans.
- Manage work orders in SAP, ensuring accurate recording of interventions, spare parts, and time.
- Analyze failure trends and propose technical improvements based on historical data. Safety, Health, and Environment
- Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations in all maintenance interventions.
- Promote and enforce use of PPE, and application of safe work procedures (LOTO, confined spaces, working at heights).
- Investigate incidents and accidents, document root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Continuous Improvement and Operational Efficiency
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at eliminating failure modes, reducing energy consumption, and optimizing costs.
- Apply root cause analysis tools (RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) to resolve recurring problems.
- Implement and maintain 5S in workshops, warehouses, and technical areas.
- Identify modernization opportunities and present proposals with cost‑benefit analysis to management. Internal Customer Service
- Act as technical liaison between utilities area and user areas (production, quality, logistics, engineering).
- Ensure compliance with internal service level agreements, prioritizing operational continuity.
- Communicate status of facilities, ongoing work, and estimated resolution times in a timely manner. Position‑Specific Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Courses or certifications in TPM, RCM or related methodologies (valued).
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance or utilities supervision roles.
- Experience in continuous operation industries (food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical).
- Experience implementing and tracking maintenance indicators (technical and management KPIs).
- Knowledge of TPM, 5S, RCA.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Power BI (desirable). Work arrangement: 100% on‑site in Pacheco. No relocation support available.
