About the RoleThe Payments Engineering team at Betsson Group is now hiring. We are a world‐class iGaming operator offering a variety of online gaming products across multiple markets, both through our own gaming sites and several partner brands.As a member of the Engineering team, you will be responsible for building the best payment customer experience from the payment pages perspective and improving the range of payment options available across our brands and markets. You will work with a diverse, international team of experts and take on company‐critical responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable server‐side applications using the . NET framework and related technologies.Collaborate with cross‐functional teams, including front‐end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Develop and implement efficient and secure RESTful APIs and microservices to support client applications and integrations.Apply strong understanding of object‐oriented programming principles and design patterns.Write clean, testable, maintainable, and well‐documented code following best practices and coding standards.Perform thorough testing and debugging of backend applications to ensure high quality and reliability.Optimize application performance and scalability through code optimizations, caching strategies, and database optimizations.Demonstrate proficiency in SQL databases, including query writing and performance tuning.Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to architectural guidelines, and best practices.Provide effective problem‐solving and analytical skills to debug and resolve complex issues.Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users or identified through monitoring and logging systems.Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate with the team.Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in backend development and contribute to improving processes and efficiency.QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS). Strong background in backend development, with experience in languages such as C#. Knowledge of NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases.Experience designing and implementing distributed systems comprised of multiple domain‐oriented services.Understanding of front‐end development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.Curiosity and some experience with additional technologies such as etcd, Consul, Redis, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, gRPC, and Orleans.BenefitsLife at Betsson is dynamic and fast‐paced.
