Api Developer Sr – (Buenos Aires)

Responsibilities API Design and Development: Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs based on business requirements and technical specifications. Documentation & Maintainability: Ensure that APIs are well‐documented, maintainable, and adhere to industry best practices. Integration and Collaboration: Collaborate with front‐end developers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to integrate APIs with various systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interaction between different components. Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance of APIs to ensure fast response times and efficient data processing, implementing caching, rate limiting, and other performance‐enhancing techniques. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect APIs from threats such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF, and maintain compliance with regulations such as HIPAA. Testing and Debugging: Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and end‐to‐end tests to ensure the quality and reliability of APIs, debug and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and security. Documentation and Support: Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including usage guidelines, endpoint descriptions, and example requests/responses, and provide support to internal and external developers. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in API development, and continually seek opportunities to enhance design, performance, and security. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in API development and integration. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#. Strong understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL API design principles and experience with Microservice Architecture. Experience with API development frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot. Knowledge of API security best practices and authentication mechanisms, such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys. Familiarity with database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Excellent problem‐solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high‐quality APIs. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
