Manager of SW Engineering - Databricks & SQL (Buenos Aires)

As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the EMEA Last Mile Regulatory Reporting team within Corporate Technology, you lead a team of software engineers and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team's work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices. Job Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Experience leading technology projects
- Experience managing technologists
- Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- In‑depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming language(s) – databases, Python, etc.
- Practical cloud‑native experience – experience with AWS/Databricks Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
