Tutor / Governess (Buenos Aires)

The Role Location is Europe / Travel with the Family as required.

Private Family is looking for a live-in fluent English-speaking governess to homeschool 7-year-old child by British curriculum.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one instruction, ensuring the children's academic progress and mastery of key concepts and skills.
- Create a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing learning environment, incorporating a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technologies.
- Prepare the children for standardised tests, entrance exams, and interviews, as applicable.
- Communicate regularly with the family, providing updates on the children's progress, addressing any concerns, and suggesting strategies for supporting their learning outside of tutoring sessions.
- Collaborate with the family to plan and facilitate extracurricular activities, including sports, music, art, and cultural experiences, to enrich the children's education and promote their overall development.
- Accompany the family on travel, as needed, ensuring continuity of the children's education and providing support during trips and vacations.
- Maintain a high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality when dealing with the family's personal matters.

**Requirements**:

- Has experience in primary classroom teaching and tutoring.
- Driving license.
- Knowledge of the education systems and differences, entrance exams.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement personalised curricula and learning plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with both children and parents.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the family's values and traditions.
- First Aid and CPR certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications.
- Willingness to undergo a thorough background check.

**Nice to have**:

- Spanish language proficiency would be an advantage.
